It is 22.38 French time, we have arrived at the hotel near Roscoff where we will spend tonight to avoid putting up a tent in the dark and in the rain!
Our crossing was ok, though the sea was a little too choppy for sea-watching. We didn't spot any cetaceans but did see 13 Manx Shearwaters and good numbers of Gannets, Fulmars, Herring Gulls and Great Black-backed Gulls. We had some nice close views of the Gannets, first from the windy top deck then from the warmth of the lounge! We even managed to spot shearwaters while eating our dinner!
Tomorrow is an early start as it will be roughly a 6.5hr drive to La Brenne where we will be camping. Who knows when I will next get internet access, so this may be the last update you get until the 18th...
Happy Holidays!
