A morning spent at Occombe Farm to attend an unsuccessful interview, digging gutters and hammering nails for Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust; spotted my first Orange Tip of the year, and was treated to a fat pink Bullfinch on the feeder.
.
Then an afternoon set aside for my first visit to the Living Coasts at Torquay.
.
Before even entering the gate we were treated to this fine display of owls and their kin.

P.S. I am loving how the blogspot spellchecker wants me to call it a Bespectacled Eider. GENIUS name, if you ask me! I ought to get straight on to the Linnean Society with that one.
